Nice to meet you. I’m a freelance journalist, editor, copywriter and brand consultant based in Essex. Let’s chat…

My story

I’m a freelance writer, editor and copywriter, based in Essex and London, with a passion for all things food, drink, travel and culture.

On top of compiling copy for some of the world’s biggest brands, from the BBC to Apple and international airlines, I write for a whole host of publications including: The Independent, Evening Standard, BBC Good Food, Time Out, Great British Food, Veggie, Great British Chefs and more.

I’m a member of the Guild of Food Writers, and was most recently the Deputy Editor of Great British Food magazine and Contributing Editor at Veggie.

I’ve sat on the judging panel for a number of food awards including Ocado’s Next Top Supplier 2017, the Great British Food Awards 2017 and 2018 and The National Fish & Chip Awards 2017.

I’ve reviewed hundreds of restaurants and hotels across the UK and beyond, contributed to a book on street food and also frequently appear on BBC Radio to discuss foodie topics, or to make recipes on-air.

I’m also regularly called upon and commissioned to write about one of my favourite subjects, gin, or to pen consumer reviews for outlets such as The Independent and BBC Good Food.

I compile recipes for daily newsletter Domestic Sluttery, and have been a food and prop stylist for a number of photoshoots for magazines.

My work

Kent County is one of the most severely underserved communities in Tennessee. To combat this adversity, Project Sprout seeks to nourish our neighbors at the most fundamental level with healthy food options and a strong support network. All members get a portion of each harvest and surpluses are donated to low-income families whose work schedules prevent them from volunteering.
